Magazines are filled with promises to help readers “get the look” of a celebrity’s outfit, whether it’s an oversized button-down shirt Blake Lively wore in an Instagram post or a pink suit Eva Longoria wore on The View. The articles often recommend facsimiles that aren’t exactly what’s featured but are similar styles that the non-famous could afford without selling a kidney.
But if a fan of Tierra Whack likes the polka dot outfit the Grammy-nominated singer wore to Kamala Harris’s vice presidential residence to celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, or a crocheted ensemble she wore to a Sixers game in her hometown of Philadelphia, there’s now a way they can get to wear not just the look but the actual items themselves.
In a partnership with Whack, Nuuly, the clothing rental service owned by Urban Outfitters, is offering 41 items from the singer’s wardrobe, some of which she thrifted or collaborated on designing.
“When I was working with Nuuly and we had to go through the racks, I was so full of joy,” Whack told Teen Vogue. “Each of these pieces are a statement piece and I can’t wait to see my fans, my people, just rocking it in their own way.”
