The first Covid lockdowns are four years behind us, but DoorDash is helping to make it easier than ever to shelter in place.

This week, it announced new partnerships with Sally and MAC Cosmetics, meaning that if your lips weren’t shiny enough from all the french fries you’ve been ordering from DoorDash, their drivers can bring you some lip gloss, too. (The lip gloss will be less likely to arrive soggy.)

It’s the latest salvo—and salve!—in DoorDash’s ongoing effort to expand beyond restaurant delivery. In 2022, the app announced it would begin delivering from another beauty retailer, Sephora. It also delivers from a bevy of grocers, including Giant Eagle and Eataly; and sports and outdoors retailers, including Dick’s Sporting Goods, Finish Line, Golf Galaxy, and Camping World.

In January, DoorDash CEO Tony Xu told the Financial Times that to keep growing, the company had a two-pronged strategy: to expand geographically and beyond restaurant delivery.

“The two largest areas of investment are expansion and penetration outside of the US, as well as the same outside of restaurants,” Xu said.

The company reports that it now delivers from more than 150,000 non-restaurant stores.

On March 21, DoorDash announced it was adding Lowe’s, marking its first partnership with a home-improvement retailer.

Grubdrub: DoorDash overtook Grubhub in 2019 to become the biggest food-delivery app. Along with its Caviar subsidiary, it accounts for 67% of meal delivery, nearly triple the share of Uber Eats, which is in second place with 23%, and even farther behind—hey guys, wait up!—Grubhub at third, with 8%, according to Bloomberg Second Measure data for February.

When it comes to beauty and personal care products, DoorDash now delivers slightly more than will fit in your DoorDasher’s Prius—more than 400,000 items, according to the company.
